What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We also use similar technologies such as local storage, pixels, and SDKs. Together they help us operate, secure, and improve OCCEAN.

Essential Cookies

Required for the Service to function — including authentication, session management, and security. They cannot be disabled.

Examples: session token, CSRF protection, load-balancer routing.

Analytics Cookies

Help us understand aggregated usage patterns so we can improve the product. All analytics data is anonymized and never sold.

Performance Cookies

Measure page load times, latency, and error rates so we can maintain the executive-grade performance OCCEAN is known for.

Preference Cookies

Remember your UI choices — sidebar state, theme, timezone, and preferred metrics — so Commerce Brain™ feels consistent across sessions.

Marketing Cookies

Used only on our marketing site (never inside the app) to measure the effectiveness of campaigns. Off by default outside the U.S.

Third-party Cookies

  • Stripe — fraud prevention on billing pages.
  • Intercom — support chat continuity.
  • Google Analytics — marketing-site analytics (anonymized IP).

Cookie Retention

  • Session cookies expire when you close your browser.
  • Persistent cookies expire between 30 days and 12 months depending on purpose.
  • You can clear cookies at any time from your browser settings.
